Safeguarding

Keeping people safe

We are a young organisation and we are open about our boundaries. These commitments will be reviewed as we grow.

  • Our commitment

The safety and wellbeing of everyone who contacts us comes before everything else. We work within our limits, keep our language clear and never pressure anyone to share more than they wish to.

  • What we do not do

We do not provide medical treatment, therapy, counselling, legal advice or emergency intervention. We do not assess risk clinically and we are not a crisis service.

  • Concerns about immediate danger

If we believe someone is at risk of serious harm, we may need to contact the emergency services or a relevant statutory agency. Where it is safe and possible, we will tell the person first.

  • Adults and children

Our resources are written for adults. Where a concern involves a child or a vulnerable adult, we will signpost to, or contact, the appropriate statutory services.

  • Volunteers and future services

Any volunteer roles, community spaces or in-person activity will only launch with appropriate checks, training, moderation and written policies in place.

  • Raising a concern

If something about our work worries you, please contact us. We take feedback seriously and will explain what we can and cannot do about it.
